San Sebastiano al Vesuvio. The Carabinieri of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio station, assisted by those of the Torre del Greco radiomobile section, arrested a 29-year-old from Massa di Somma for resisting a public official.
During a checkpoint, the 29-year-old, riding a motorbike without a helmet, ignored the patrol's order to stop and fled at high speed.
Pursued by the Carabinieri, he drove the wrong way on State Road 162, endangering the safety of other road users.
For security reasons, the Carabinieri have stopped the chase on the highway, which was heavily traveled by vehicles. However, thanks to checks on the vehicle's license plate, they were able to identify the fugitive and track him down at his home.
The 29-year-old was arrested, and the arrest was validated by the judicial authorities. According to the reconstruction, the man fled because he did not have a driving license.
