San Vitaliano. Elisa Pacchiano, 77, from San Vitaliano, died last Monday, June 24, after being hit by a car while cycling at a roundabout. The accident occurred around 6:00 PM on Via Risorgimento.
An investigation for road homicide has been opened on the matter by the Nola Prosecutor's Office, led by Dr. Patrizia Mucciacito. The driver, EB, a 70-year-old from Scisciano, has been entered in the register of suspects.
The Prosecutor's Office has ordered an autopsy on Mrs. Pacchiano's body to determine the exact cause of death.
The examination, initially scheduled for today, has been postponed to next week to allow for the acquisition of further elements and the carrying out of preliminary investigations.
The victim's family members are being assisted by Studio3A-Valore SpA, a company specializing in compensation for damages and citizen protection. Dr. Vincenzo Carotenuto, personal consultant for Campania for Studio3A, and lawyer Vincenzo Cortellessa of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court will follow the case to shed light on the dynamics of the facts and obtain justice.
Mrs. Pacchiano leaves behind her grieving husband and four children. The funeral will be held after the autopsy is completed and the judicial authorities have issued a formal authorization.
