Saturday 8 June 2024, at 11.30 am, in the precious setting of the Church of Saints Marcellino and Festo (Naples, Largo San Marcellino 10), concert by Scarlatti per Tutti, the amateur Orchestra of the Scarlatti Orchestra Community which brings together students, employees, teachers, professionals, all amateur musicians in the name of the pleasure of making music together, to share with the public.
Scarlatti per Tutti, conducted by the versatile Bruno Persico, will offer an original program, ranging from arias by Alessandro Scarlatti to a Serenade for three clarinets by Mozart; from the very pleasant Serenade for Strings by the eclectic American composer Norman Leyden (1917-2014) to the vigorous and passionate first movement from the Viola Concerto in the style of Handel, published in 1924 by the French musician Henri Casadesus, a renowned 'forger' of ancient musical styles; from particular reworkings of classical Neapolitan melodies and some songs by Pino Daniele to evocative original pages by Bruno Persico himself.
