Naples. A morning of inconvenience for commuters of the EAV Due to two strikes called for today. The USB strike for four hours and the Confail strike for 4 hours have blocked rail traffic on the Vesuvian and Phlegraean lines.
According to the Volturno Autonomous Body, as of 12 noon today, 129 of the approximately 1.150 railway sector employees on shift (about 11%) were on strike.
In addition to the train blockade, the strike also impacted bus service, canceling 50 of approximately 1.200 scheduled trips. Due to the absence of 13 drivers out of approximately 350 on shift (3,7%), buses experienced severe delays and intermittent service.
On the Aversa-Piscinola metro line, however, the strike had no effect, with all trains running regularly.
