All set for the 8-hour general strike of metalworkers from Fim, Fiom and Uilm in the province of Caserta to shine a spotlight on the many disputes that concern the industrial district in Terra di Lavoro.
The joint mobilization is scheduled for Thursday 13 June starting at 9:00 am. The procession is expected to gather from Piazza Garibaldi (near the FS station) and will reach Piazza Dante where there will be speeches by metalworkers and the general secretaries of Fim Cisl, Fiom Cgil and Uilm, Ferdinando Uliano, Michele De Palma and Rocco Palombella.
At the centre of the dispute is the future of the workers of Jabil of Marcianise who will hold a sit-in tomorrow in front of the Ministry of Business and Development.
