And in fact this morning the State Police routed the group of drug traffickers linked to the Contini clan, routing a splinter faction known as the “Stadera group”. 30 people were arrested, 13 of whom are in prison and 17 have been banned from residing in Campania.
The operation was born from the gunshot wounding of a man on September 20, 2021. The investigations, conducted by the Naples Mobile Squad with the support of other police stations and the Avellino Mobile Squad, allowed us to reconstruct the dynamics of the events and to frame the wounding as a response to another ambush that occurred on September 2, 2021.
Split within the Contini clan
The investigations revealed that the violent events were the result of a split within the "Stadera group", an offshoot of the Contini clan. One of the suspects allegedly attempted to create an autonomous criminal group, obtaining drugs from suppliers in Scampia and the "Connolo” of Poggioreale.
Drug trafficking and extortion activities
The group of secessionists began an intense retail drug dealing activity in the "citadel" between Casoria and Naples, also supplying drugs to drug dealing centers in Ponticelli, Secondigliano, Avellino and inside the prison in Salerno, where one of the suspects was detained. To recover the credits deriving from the drug dealing, the group carried out extortion practices.
Violence and clashes with other gangs

The operation led to the arrest of 30 people, 13 of whom are in prison and 17 with a ban on residing in Campania. This is a severe blow to drug trafficking and violence in Naples, the result of careful investigative activity by the State Police.
