We meet Anna Chirico, a leading figure in the world of Stretch Flow, an innovative program that combines dance and stretching techniques.

Anna, co-creator of the program in Italy, obtained the Master Trainer diploma after three years of study in St. Petersburg and brought the program to our country in 2013, receiving recognition from the CONI.
But what is Stretch flow?
Originated in Russia and later adopted by American dance academies for its rapid and remarkable results, this method of stretching and strengthening combines exercises from the physical preparation of Russian gymnasts with opening techniques used by Russian dance academies' trainers.
The goal is to make dancers and athletes more aware of their bodies and their potential, allowing them to reach levels of excellence through careful listening to an extraordinary instrument: the human body.
- Fluidity of Movement: Stretch flow emphasizes smooth transitions between different positions and movements. Instead of jerky or interrupted movements, one tries to maintain a continuity that makes the sequence aesthetic and pleasant to watch.
- Muscle Stretching: Includes exercises and routines that aim to lengthen muscles and improve flexibility. These movements help prevent injuries and improve the ability to perform more complex poses.
- Coordination and Control: Stretch flow requires a great deal of coordination and body control. Gymnasts and dancers must be able to manage and modulate muscle tension to move from one position to another fluidly.
- Aesthetics of Movement: In dance and gymnastics, aesthetics are key. Stretch flow helps create elegant and graceful movements, which are often highly valued in competitions.
- Warm-up and Cool-down: Stretch flow is often used in the warm-up and cool-down phases of training sessions. During the warm-up, it helps prepare the muscles and joints for intense physical activity. During the cool-down, it helps reduce muscle tension and improve recovery.
