The Swedish film festival is directed by superintendent Kristina Kappelin at Villa San Michele.

From June 6 to 8, international and local guests will alternate over the three evenings: from the stars of the very popular Netflix series Young Royals, Edvin Ryding and Felicia Maxime, to the beloved actress and writer Chiara Francini, to the young promise of Italian cinema Naomi Brando, to the multifaceted actor and voice actor Massimo Cagnina, up to the director Erik Gandini, known in Italy above all for the documentary film Videocracy.

Each day, the screening of the films will be preceded by a short meeting/presentation, introduced by the superintendent of Villa San Michele together with the guests, to delve deeper into the themes.

“This year, the choice of films depends both on the connections between Sweden and Italy, and on the topicality of the themes: the difficulties of being young today, falling in love late in life and knowing how to manage free time positively when you become less obsessive about work and career”, says Kistina Kappelin.

The program will be divided into three evenings: it opens on Thursday 6 June at 20 pm with the screening of the film A Part of You, (Sweden, 2024), directed by Sigge Eklund and distributed by Netflix.

On stage, the director of Villa San Michele, Kristina Kappelin will be accompanied by the Swedish actors Edvin Ryding and Felicia Maxime and the Italian actress Noemi Brando, who despite being very young, already has successful series such as Supersex and films such as Sei nell'anima behind her. The three talents have achieved worldwide fame through the new entertainment and social media platforms, becoming idols for millions of young people.
