News and a great desire to give new emotions at the Teatro Lendi in Sant'Arpino, where after the extraordinary public success of last season, the time has come to announce the titles of the shows that will enliven the 2024-2025 program.
Thus, aware of the successes achieved in the past year and strong in the response of an increasingly loyal and numerous audience, the artistic director of the historic theatre, Francesco Scarano, always in the spirit of the slogan have fun... get excited... dream... you're at the theatre!, illustrates the new programming with the desire to reiterate the quality and variety of the genres chosen to satisfy the needs and tastes of the most varied types of spectators.
«In the new program – explained director Scarano – in the wake of the public appreciation found in the last season, there will be shows capable of ranging between comedy, prose, musicals, song theater, cabaret and shows.
The Teatro Lendi season will once again be created with the intention of welcoming spectators with the sole purpose of making them feel good and entertained. As always, we have imagined our theater as a place of inclusion to feel good, to enjoy the most acclaimed actors and the best of the artistic production offered at a national and international level.
With its 10 subscription shows, our proposal will also be enriched by many surprises and other shows and events in promotion outside the subscription. In addition, given the great response obtained, during the next season the activity of the "Theatrical Laboratory" will also resume, reserved for both adults and children who wish to approach the world of entertainment".
The season will open on November 19th with the historicized musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey from 1971 “Grease” directed by Saverio Marconi. From November 27th it will be the turn of “I ditelo voi” with “Bang Bank” a hilarious comedy that will bring the talent of a trio that is increasingly loved by the public to the spectators.
Written and directed by the members of the same trio Mimmo Manfredi, Lello Ferrante and Francesco De Fraia together with Francesco Prisco, the work will offer a moment of fresh and contemporary theatre capable of making people laugh but also reflect and think.
From December 11th it will be the turn of “Perfetti Sconosciuti” the show by the director, screenwriter and writer Paolo Genovese who with his famous film turned comedy strikes straight to the hearts of the spectators with a script capable of highlighting all the short circuits of interpersonal relationships with the advent of digital, social media and smartphones.
Starting on January 8th, Peppe Barra will be the author, together with Lamberto Lambertini, of his version of the legendary “Cantata dei Pastori” by Andrea Perrucci. Also, starting on January 29th, Peppe Iodice will be at the Teatro Lendi with his show “Ho visto Maradona”, a work directed by Francesco Mastandrea with lyrics written by Iodice himself with Burzo and Critelli. Starting on February 19th, Massimo De Matteo will be the interpreter of the famous work by Eduardo Scarpetta “'Na Santarella” in the role of Don Felice Sciosciammocca together with his sister Angela De Matteo and directed by Claudio Di Palma.
Starting from March 5th, Biagio Izzo will conquer the audience of the Sant'Arpino hall with his new work “Finchè giudice non ci separi”. A funny reflection on the splendor and misery of life as a couple, written by Augusto Fornari who also directs it, together with Antonio Fornari, Andrea Maia and Vincenzo Sinopoli.
From March 19th it will be the turn of Lina Sastri with her theatre-song show “Voce 'e notte”. A work that intends to be the testimony of a long work of musical and theatrical research carried out in these years where word, music and dance intertwine in harmony. From April 2nd, space for Massimiliano Gallo with his “Malinconico moderatomente felice” directed by himself and written together with Diego De Silva.
On stage with Biagio Musella and with music by Joe Barbieri, Gallo will present a theatrical project with the aim of bringing to the stage the essence of a literary and later television character who has conquered a vast audience over the years. Finally, closing the Lendi season, will be Peppe Servillo & Solis String Quartet with “Carosonamente” a concert capable of enchanting and moving in the name of the unforgettable Renato and his bullfighters, Sarracini and Americans.
The subscription to the 10 shows costs 280 euros, while old subscribers will be able to take advantage of the loyalty discount by paying only 260 euros. In addition, during the next season, there will be other shows outside the subscription (to be announced soon) offered as a promotion to subscribers.
