Naples. The cameras at Villa Rosebery, looking out to sea, may have captured the impact of a medium-sized white boat that struck the kayak carrying 30-year-old Cristina Frazzica and 33-year-old Neapolitan lawyer Vincenzo Leone on Sunday afternoon.
The first, originally from Taurianova but living in Naples for a few years, died instantly, cut off by the boat's propellers, while the lawyer miraculously survived.
The Coast Guard, which is conducting the investigation under the coordination of the Naples Prosecutor's Office, is combing all the ports of Campania to track down the murderous pirate of the sea. The boat certainly suffered damage in the impact with the kayak. But the footage from the cameras of Villa Rosebery, the Neapolitan residence of the presidents of the Republic, is fundamental.
Speaking to TGR della Campania, lawyer Vincenzo Leone explained that he was “a miracle worker” and asked the driver of the boat that hit him to turn himself in.
Investigators appeal to potential witnesses
The investigators have launched an appeal to anyone with useful information that can be communicated anonymously to the number 1530 or to the number 0812445308, also via WhatsApp. The investigators they are combing through the docks and moorings and the owners of the structures that welcome the boats have already been heard.
It is not excluded that the vessel could be identified soon, as well as those on board, who decided not to stop despite the impact, perhaps condemning the thirty-year-old to death.
In the place where it occurred there is a sort of curve in the sea that makes it more complicated to identify any obstacles especially if the bow is raised due to the high speed.
Cristina could perhaps have been saved if the investor had stopped
There remains the regret that perhaps, if she had received timely help, Cristina could have been saved. However, only the autopsy will be able to provide certain data on the extent and severity of the injuries sustained. On the young woman's Instagram profile there remains a video posted shortly before the tragedy: images, taken from the sea, of a villa on the set of Un Posto al Sole, with the soundtrack of the Rai fiction.
