Naples. Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Decumani Police Station intervened in Piazzetta del Grande Archivio following a report of an assault.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers were approached by a man who reportedly had been the victim of an attempted burglary in his car. The assailant, discovered, attacked him with a screwdriver and damaged the car's rearview mirror before attempting to flee.
Officers managed to apprehend the suspect, a 30-year-old Afghan man with no permit in Afghanistan. The man was found in possession of the screwdriver used in the attack and arrested for attempted improper robbery.
The police intervention prevented further consequences for the victim and brought the perpetrator of the crime to justice.
