Torre Annunziata, the drug dealing building: 2500 customers in three months. Five precautionary measures

Torre Annunziata. The building at Via Cavour 21 was the new drug dealing center in the town of Oplin, a short distance from two schools.

Officers from the local police station busted an active drug dealing ring operating inside the building, arresting five people.

The investigations, conducted between November 2022 and January 2023, revealed the existence of two distinct drug "points of sale," run by related family members:

On the ground floor, Michael Evacuo, assisted by his family and under house arrest at the time, was dealing hashish. On the first floor Orestes De Simone he was instead dedicated to cocaine dealing.

The illegal activity was carried out with the complicity of other family members and with the help of cameras installed near the building, which monitored access to the homes.

The wiretaps also captured a daily flow of buyers: 1760 visits to Michele Evacuo's home and 700 to Oreste De Simone's during the period under investigation.

During the investigation, 5,62 grams of cocaine and 137,64 grams of hashish were seized.

At the end of the investigative activity and at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, the GIP issued a precautionary custody order in prison against Michael Evacuo and Oreste De Simone, charging them with various charges of complicity in the possession and sale of narcotic substances, with the aggravating circumstance of having operated near schools.

Michele Evacuo also reported for 45 escapes from house arrest

The other suspects, Michele Evacuo's two children, Anna Evacuo and Emanuele Evacuo, and Aniello De Simone, Oreste's son, were instead banned from residing in the province of Naples.

Michele Evacuo, already under house arrest during the investigation, will also have to answer for 45 escapes.

The two managers of the drug dealing squares were taken to prison in Poggioreale while Evacuo's two sons were notified of the order prohibiting them from residing in the province of Naples while the order to Aniello De Simone was notified in prison as he was already detained.
