On the night of June 19, the military of the Naples Naval Air Operations Department recovered two stolen vessels, cleverly hidden among the rocks in a cove off the coast of Torre del Greco.
The operation, made possible thanks to a report from the Operations Room of the Provincial Command, was carried out by the crew of the inland waters patrol boat VAI 317, a modern hydrofoil-powered naval vessel recently assigned to the Neapolitan Guardia di Finanza for coastal surveillance.
The silence and the low draft of the VAI 317 proved to be crucial to the success of the operation, allowing the military to operate in a shallow body of water where the thieves thought they had secured their belongings. stolen dinghiesThe vessels were then returned to their rightful owners.

In the coming weeks, given the progressive increase in recreational boat traffic, particularly in tourist areas, the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) is expected to further intensify its maritime police operations.
