Capri. A 65-year-old Australian woman tragically lost her life after being struck by an illness while visiting Capri.
The tragedy occurred after the woman had taken a dip off the coast of Marina Piccola. The couple had decided to rent a gozzo with a sailor on board in Piano di Sorrento to be able to visit Capri from a unique perspective, that of the sea.
This type of vessel is popular among tourists who want to explore the natural wonders and crystal clear waters of the area.
As soon as she reboarded the vessel after swimming, the woman suddenly felt ill. The sailor immediately called for help, hoping to save her life.
The Rescue Intervention
Despite the promptness of the rescue, attempts to revive the woman were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save the tourist, who died shortly after being struck by the illness.
After the weekend of problems for lack of water a tragedy strikes the island of Capri.
