Masked singer-songwriter UAH, also known as UnleashAnemaHit, has announced the release of his new album, FLANELL, on June 21st on all digital platforms. In an age where human interaction is often replaced by digital media and relationships are mediated by social media, this new work stands out for its call for authenticity and human warmth.
FLANELL': A Disc to Wear
FLANELL' takes its name from the warm and enveloping fabric of flannel, also represented in the artwork with a checked shirt. This album invites listeners to reflect on their humanity, away from social masks and the obsession with appearance. The goal of UAH is to restore the importance of the joys and struggles of "doing" and surviving in a society that alienates us more and more every day.
A Masked Singer-Songwriter
In an act of resistance against the logic of appearance, UAH hides his face behind three different masks, handmade by a Neapolitan craftsman from Nola. The masks represent the three states of mind linked to the Neapolitan expression “Uah”, allowing the music to speak for itself, without the influence of the artist’s personal image.
The Essence of Human Experiences
FLANELL' is a collection of songs that capture the deepest feelings and essence of human experiences. With lyrics in Neapolitan and Italian, innovative arrangements and an urban groove, the album explores various musical genres, from new wave to indie-pop, through funk and new-disco.
Collaborations and Production
The album boasts a refined production and talented collaborations:
- Dino Barretta | Producer @ Music Factory Studio
- Chris Gehringer | Mastering @ Sterling Sound (New Jersey)
- Vince Carpentieri | Guitars
- Rita Ciccarelli | Choirs
- Vincenzo Notaro (Officina Mirabilis) | Visual & mask design
- M° Paolino Scotta | Mask making @ Museo della Festa (Nola)
Artistic and Artisanal Synergy
The synergy between these talented artists has given life to a work that expresses, in an authentic and noble way, the concept of musical craftsmanship. A product born, developed and created “from below”, with expert and often anonymous hands that operate in forgotten workshops, like the one that created the UAH masks.
FLANELL' is an album that manages to “dress” its listeners with warmth and authenticity, an invitation to find themselves and reconnect with their humanity in an increasingly virtual society.
