Guido Furgiuele, the lawyer believed to be involved in the tragic accident that occurred in the Gulf of Naples last Sunday, expresses his sorrow for what happened and for the situation he is experiencing. The accident claimed the life of 31-year-old researcher Cristina Frazzica.
"I have had an unlimited boating license for motor and sailing boats since 1998 and have never caused any accidents," says the criminal lawyer, adding: "On Sunday afternoon, while I was returning from Ischia, near Villa Rosebery, at 17:35 PM, one of my guests noticed a person at the stern, in the distance, waving his arms and calling for help. He warned me, I slowed down, turned around and went back."
"At 17pm, Furgiuele continues, I rescued the survivor with the kayak, more than 300 meters from the coast. At that moment I learned from him that he was with a girl and that they had been hit by a boat at high speed. At 17:44 PM I raised the alarm. The coast guard told me not to move, and they arrived after ten minutes."

"The survivor," the lawyer emphasizes, "didn't recognize my boat as the one that had hit them, and mine isn't a fast boat. The seven of us on board hadn't heard anything."
"I have been available to investigators from the very beginning," Furgiuele concluded, "and I will continue to be so that light is shed on the Cristina Frazzica tragedy."
