A man escaped from a nursing home and was wandering, agitated, along the carriageway of the Asse Mediano in the direction of Lago Patria.
Despite heavy, high-speed traffic, he attempted to cross the road several times. As he was about to climb over the guardrail to cross to the other lane, he was saved by officers from the Nola Highway Police Detachment.
The officers secured him and calmed him down, despite the man's repeated attempts to break free. Investigations revealed that the man, a 45-year-old Neapolitan, had escaped from a retirement home in Grumo Nevano where he was being treated.
