Villaricca. This morning, the Carabinieri of the Marano company intervened at the post office in via Resistenza in Villaricca.
Shortly before, unknown individuals with covered faces and armed with a gun had entered the facility through a hole in the floor, threatening the employees. Fortunately, the robbery was unsuccessful.
The raid and the threat
The attackers, masked to avoid being recognized, entered the post office through a hole in the floor. Armed with a gun, they quickly threatened the employees present, attempting to gain access to the money in the safe.
The escape of the criminals
Despite the threats and tension, the intruders failed to open the safe. Realizing that their attempt was doomed to failure, they decided to flee, returning to the hole where they had come from. Fortunately, no one among the post office staff was injured.
Investigations ongoing
Law enforcement immediately launched an investigation to identify the robbers and understand how they could have carried out such a plan. Investigators are gathering all available evidence, including any video recordings and testimonies from those present, in an effort to arrest those responsible as quickly as possible.
