A harsh judgment on the performance of the Italian national team at the Europeans 2024 comes from the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abode, who, in an interview with “Il Foglio”, described the Italian participation as “an objectively traumatic image”. “A national team that raises the white flag, putting on the field an unconditional surrender, is the manifesto of a problem that cannot continue to be hidden”, said Abodi, highlighting the need for radical change.
