The National Committee of the Italian Referees Association (AIA) has announced the appointments for the referee designators for the top categories, confirming Gianluca Rocchi as the referee designator for Serie A and Serie B for the next two seasons. In addition to Rocchi, other prominent officials within the AIA have also been confirmed.
Maurizio Ciampi will maintain the role of CAN C manager, continuing to supervise the referees of the third series. Alessandro Pizzi, on the other hand, has been confirmed as CAN D manager, the national amateur championship. The main novelty concerns the technical sector for the 2024/2025 sports season, which will see Antonio Damato, from the Barletta section, take on the role of manager.
Damato, former referee of Serie A with a long career behind him, he will bring his vast experience and expertise to the technical sector, contributing to the training and improvement of refereeing performances. Marco Falso was also confirmed in the role of coordinator, thus ensuring continuity and stability in the management and organization of refereeing activities.
