# Amalfi, Summer of the Little Ones 2024: Joy and Creativity for All Children
The Amalfi Municipal Administration, led by Mayor Daniele Milano, has planned an unforgettable summer for children. "Summer of the Little Ones 2024" is a program of free events that promises an explosion of joy, creativity, and moments of pure fun, with a series of activities designed to make children's eyes light up and fill their hearts with happiness.
### A Journey Through Magic and Fun
This year's program offers a colorful array of exciting experiences. Highlights include a beach foam party and open-air cinema with the revolutionary "Drive Green," an eco-friendly drive-in designed for families. Additionally, there will be XXL board games, tent-based storytelling, and giant soap bubbles that will brighten summer evenings. The visual arts will also be prominent, with open-air activities inspired by great masters like Gaudí, Matisse, and Rousseau, and street art workshops that will unleash children's creativity.
### An Educational Cultural Offering
The event combines tradition and innovation with theatrical plays and educational performances that bring classic fairy tales and timeless stories to life. The goal is to teach inclusion and promote the overcoming of all forms of discrimination, offering children the opportunity to develop their imagination and social skills in a nurturing and educational setting.
### Event Goals and Vision
"L'Estate dei Piccoli" (Little Ones' Summer) aims to divert children from the isolation of virtual reality and encourage social interaction. As Councilor for Children Francesca Gargano explains: "It's one of the most anticipated moments of the summer, not only for the little ones, but also for their families, who are actively involved. We unleash play, creativity, independence, and autonomy. We distance children from virtual reality and encourage them to socialize, counteracting the isolation of social networks and the internet."
