For her and 4 others, the investigating judge Maria Gabriella Iagulli granted house arrest and decided to exclude the aggravating circumstance of Camorra facilitation, confirming however the mafia-related nature of the crimes contested.

Also under house arrest are Massimo Donnarumma, Giovanni Ioime, Emaniele Flaminio, Alfredo Franco. In prison instead are Antonio Donnarumma, Pasquale Casertano, Alfredo Zona and Mario Vittoriosi.

Thinking they could get a reduction in interest rates, even by several thousand euros a month, they decided to turn to the Camorra and not to the police, falling out of the frying pan into the fire: this is what happened to two Neapolitan traders who were trapped in a frenetic usury circle that was put to an end by the Naples State Police (Flying Squad and Police Stations of Scampia and Secondigliano) who arrested the nine people.

After finding themselves in considerable difficulty due to the loans they requested and the exorbitant rates they would have had to pay to the tax collectors, they turned to the Licciardi clan which instead upped the ante, with the clear aim of acquiring their properties and laundering funds resulting from illicit activities.

According to the latest investigations by the Neapolitan Anti-Mafia District Directorate, the clans with the greatest availability of liquid money, such as the Licciardi clan, are carrying out this activity precisely to acquire businesses and shops, putting the owners in serious difficulty, especially in the position of not being able to pay the loans requested which are then eventually extinguished with the sale of the business.

And, in fact, the two victims in question saw the installments to be repaid multiply to an incredible extent: in fact, in June 2023, in exchange for a loan of 15 thousand euros, they would have had to repay 18 thousand, but already in November of the same year, in exchange for a loan of 200 thousand euros (in four installments of 50 thousand euros), some of the suspects had already asked for a whopping 120 thousand euros in interest.
