The conclusion of the seismic swarm that began at 15:09 pm yesterday in the Campi Flegrei area was announced this morning.

The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has detected 24 earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 0 to 3.2. This latest shock, the strongest, was felt by residents during the night at 2:18 AM.

"Last night's tremor didn't cause any concern. There were no calls or inspections. It's a sign that the more tests you do, the better. But I don't think there's a population in Italy more trained in earthquakes than the Phlegraean ones."

The mayor of Bacoli, Josi Della Ragione, said this about the magnitude 3.2 earthquake recorded last night in the Phlegraean town.

Then, regarding the criticisms made by the Minister for Civil Protection, Nello Musumeci, regarding the poor participation of citizens in the exercises foreseen by the Campi Flegrei decree, the mayor of Bacoli wanted to clarify.

"Ai Campi Flegrei There is awareness of where to go for information, we have been carrying out exercises practically every day for a year, we do not accept being considered unaware, reckless, untrained on the issue of bradyseism, we are fully aware of the place where we live, we are attentive and aware of the inconveniences, we cannot ask the population to stage a film.

The mayor of Bacoli responds harshly to Minister Musumeci

"There are residents who have been living away from home for over a month," the mayor reminds us. "The government should speed up the process of allocating funds, clarify where they will be invested, and stop pointing the finger at the population, who are stimulated and stressed by frequent tremors."
