Naples. Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli and Councilor of Municipality III Carlo Restaino carried out an inspection near the Real Bosco di Capodimonte, precisely in via Miano, where Enel is carrying out cable laying work.
These interventions are inevitably damaging the road surface, just renewed two months ago after asphalt resurfacing works. Now, that asphalt is being destroyed again to allow the laying of cables.
Citizens had already faced significant inconveniences due to the partial or total closures of some stretches of road for six months. The new works not only hinder traffic, but destroy the asphalt once again.
“We ask that the municipal officials responsible for this waste of public money and the inconvenience to citizens, without considering the consequences, be 'arrested'. They must pay out of their own pockets for this outrage.
We cannot allow this to happen. The road was returned just over two months ago, with huge public expenditure for resurfacing the road, and the continuous closures have caused constant traffic disruption.
Now we are back to square one with construction sites that hinder traffic and a road destroyed again with inadequate roofing work. Residents and citizens suffer continuous inconvenience and serious problems with traffic.
These behaviors are seriously culpable and cannot go unpunished. I ask that an investigation file be opened to identify who authorized this outrage and for what reason", declared Francesco Emilio Borrelli, deputy of the Green Left Alliance, and Carlo Restaino, councilor of Municipality III for Green Europe.
