The safety of the citizens of Naples and its province receives a significant boost with the entry into service of 142 new Carabinieri. Of these, 85 will be permanently integrated, while 62 will reinforce the department during the summer season, thus responding to the growing security needs and the boom in tourism affecting the city.

Brigadier General Enrico Scandone, Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Naples, expressed great satisfaction for this strengthening: We are proud to welcome these new additions, which represent a further commitment from the Carabinieri to ensure the safety and security of our community. The increase in tourist flows during the summer requires a greater and more widespread presence throughout the area, and these 142 new Carabinieri will allow us to respond more effectively to the needs of residents and visitors.

The new recruits will be strategically located in the capital's nerve centers and in the province's tourist locations, ensuring a constant presence and a timely response to security needs. This reinforcement is seen as a valuable resource not only for the management of daily security, but also for the prevention of criminal phenomena.

In the last months, Napoli and its hinterland have been the scene of serious news events, increasing concern among the population. For General Scandone, "The arrival of these new Carabinieri will allow us to intensify our crime prevention and enforcement efforts, aiming to provide greater security for citizens."

The General stressed the importance of greater law enforcement visibility and tighter controls in critical areas of the city and the province. It will also increase perceived safety and facilitate interaction and collaboration with residents. Citizens may feel more encouraged to become an integral part of the community's active fabric, especially in gray areas where crime can thrive.
