Cardito. A car theft turns into a judicial police operation that leads to the arrest of two people and the recovery of several stolen cars.

It all started with a man reporting that his car had been stolen. The vehicle was equipped with multiple GPS devices, all connected to an app that allowed him to track its location in real time.
The thieves, however, had removed all but one of the GPS devices, leaving behind a key clue to the investigation.
Following the GPS signal, the Carabinieri arrived in via Palazzetto dello Sport in Cardito. Although the car was not visible, the soldiers heard the sound of metal sheets hitting each other coming from a shed.

They then surrounded the building, blocking all escape routes and broke inside. Inside the shed, the Carabinieri found two people at work and five cars ready to be dismantled and resold.
Among these, there was also the complainant's grey Giulia, with the GPS “forgotten” by the thieves.
The two perpetrators, Salvatore Esposito and Gianluca Germano, both very young, the first 24 years old and the second 19, attempted to escape, but were stopped by the Carabinieri.
The two were arrested for receiving stolen goods and money laundering. The cars, all stolen, were seized and later returned to their rightful owners.
