The Carabinieri of Casoria have reached a significant milestone in their ongoing surveillance of the area: since the beginning of the year, over 500 stolen cars have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners, an average of more than two per day. In the last 48 hours, the officers' operations have resulted in eight reports and two arrests, all related to car thefts.

The first significant intervention took place in Casoria, where three people were caught trying to force open the door of a Fiat 500x. Upon seeing the patrol, the criminals fled, leaving behind burglary tools and a jammer, a device used to block alarm signals. During their escape, one of the suspects lost his ID, allowing the Carabinieri to quickly identify him. Analysis of video surveillance footage later allowed the entire gang to be identified and reported.

In Casavatore, three people were reported for being in possession of altered keys and frequency encoders, devices commonly used in car thefts. Furthermore, stolen car parts were found at a spare parts shop in Casoria, leading to charges against the two business owners for money laundering.

Finally, a few hours ago, two individuals were arrested in Casoria while attempting to dispose of a satellite device installed on a car recently stolen in Frattaminore. Both are now under house arrest awaiting trial. These incidents highlight the effectiveness of the Carabinieri of Casoria's territorial control.
