Castellammare illegal farm with fawns and deer discovered

A woman was reported for electricity theft, while a 40-year-old man was charged with illegal possession of animals protected under the Washington Convention.

The Carabinieri have identified a woman responsible for the theft of electricity. The investigation was started after anomalous readings on the meters of energy, which led to the discovery of the crime.

The woman was immediately reported to the competent judicial authority.

At the same time, another serious environmental crime emerged during the checks. A 40-year-old man was reported for illegally keeping animals protected by the Washington Convention. The Carabinieri found several animal species that are protected by international regulations on his property.
