On Friday, July 19 at 20:2021 pm, the fourth event of the concert series “A Summer to Dream” will be held at Villa San Michele. The splendid panoramic terrace of the villa will offer an enchanting setting for the performance of saxophonist Theo Hillborg and pianist Julia Isaksson, who will pay homage to various authors, ranging across jazz, classical and contemporary genres. Despite their young age, Hillborg and Isaksson boast prestigious international awards, such as the Young and Promising Award XNUMX from the Swedish National Chamber Music Association.
A Meeting of Talents
Theo Hillborg and Julia Isaksson met in 2017 while studying at the London Conservatoire. Since then, they have formed a duo that has developed a wide repertoire, performing both in Sweden and abroad. Their music is characterized by thinking outside the box, mixing different genres such as folk, jazz, classical and modern music.
A Varied Program
“The duo Julia & Theo will be able to satisfy all the tastes of our varied audience,” emphasizes Kristina Kappelin, superintendent of Villa San Michele. “The program will in fact range from the pages of authors such as Chick Corea, Alessandro Marcello, to Takashi Yoshimatsu, to name a few, and it will be a new beautiful show.”
