The Guardia di Finanza of Naples has dealt a heavy blow to drug trafficking, seizing over 11 kg of cocaine destined for the illegal market in the city and the province.
The operation, conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit, led to the arrest of an Albanian citizen, found in possession of the drugs, cleverly hidden inside his car.
The seizure, which occurred along the highway near the Santa Maria Capua Vetere toll booth, revealed a complex drug trafficking network. The drugs, hidden in a specially designed compartment in the car, were stolen.
If cocaine were placed on the black market, it would have brought criminal organizations in Campania an illicit profit of over one million euros.
The operation, conducted with precision and determination, made it possible to dismantle an important link in the supply chain of criminal organizations operating in the Naples area.
