“We have told the directors of our hospitals in Campania to make available an hourly supplement of 100 euros to doctors for overtime in first aid".
The governor of the Campania region Vincenzo said this De Luca in his Facebook column.“We are doing – he explained De Luca – what we can do in the emergency rooms, beyond that we can't do anything, because it all depends on the Government and the whole of Italy is in difficulty on this issue. I remember that if you have a heart attack or a stroke and you lose an hour moving from one emergency room to another the consequences can be lethal.
Now we have told the hospital directors to invest the last available euro. We recently held a regional competition in Campania but we were unsuccessful, and this is understandable if resources are lacking. We need a dialogue between all the Regions and the Minister of Health, if we want to go to Rome I am there among you. The important thing now is to do serious things and not put people's lives at risk, this concerns all of Italy and the current Government but it also depends on the previous ministers, I say this for honesty".
