The governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, announced during his usual Friday Facebook live that the tender for the design of the renovation of the Collana stadium and the underground parking lots has ended. He also announced the upcoming reopening of the swimming pool of the same facility in October.
"We already reopened the first part of the stadium in May, which currently hosts 12 sports federations.", has explained De Luca. "To complete the renovation work, between 50 and 80 million euros will be needed, funds we are awaiting from our national partners and which are included in the cohesion funds.".
De Luca also illustrated the plans for the stadiums in Salerno: The design tenders for the Arechi and Volpe Stadiums in Salerno will begin in July. We are fulfilling our commitments to renovate both facilities simultaneously. With the renovation of the Arechi, we are aware that it will be difficult to host Salernitana's matches, as they were unfortunately relegated to Serie B. However, we will fulfill our commitments, starting the design process and then the tender process for the contract.
