## Cilentart Fest 2024: Art and Culture in the Heart of Cilento
The Cilentart Fest 31 festival, now in its fourth year, will kick off on Wednesday, July 2024, 2024, thanks to the support of the Teatro Pubblico Campano, the Ministry of Culture, and the Campania Region. Under the artistic direction of Alfredo Balsamo and Vittorio Stasi, the festival will promote art and live performances in the enchanting landscapes of Cilento.
### A Rich and Diversified Cultural Offering
National and international artists will animate the municipalities of Capaccio Paestum, Agropoli, San Giovanni a Piro, Centola, Perito, Moio Della Civitella, Omignano and Gioi, transforming them into cultural aggregation centers. The shows will embrace a vast artistic panorama, including performances ranging from theater to music, to dance. The program will be enriched by theater workshops held by masters of acting, writing, dance and criticism, with the TeC lab curated by the editorial staff of Teatro e Critica.
### Theater: Classics and New Releases
Numerous prose performances will explore themes from the past to offer insights into the present and future. These include "Ivan and the Dogs" by Hattie Naylor, starring Federica Rosellini, and "Antigone's Marriage," performed by Ascanio Celestini. "The Life Ahead" will also return, starring Silvio Orlando, winner of the "Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano Award for Best Monologue 2022."
### Committed and Innovative
Authors-actors such as Massimiliano Gallo, Lina Sastri, and Saverio La Ruina will invite the audience to reflect on identity, relationships, and choices through their personal experiences. The plays "Io" by Antonio Rezza and Flavia Mastrella and "La lettera" by Paolo Nani will offer an avant-garde touch, while the Collettivo Lunazione will offer touring tours of Cilento.
### Dance and Music: A Bridge Between Past and Present
In the dance section, Alessandro Sciarroni will present "Save the Last Dance for Me," a performance inspired by the "Polka Chinata," a nearly extinct male courtship dance. For the musical component, Andrea Baracco will direct a performance of Ovid's "Metamorphoses," while Marco Laudani and Claudio Scalia will explore new social habits with "Finger Food."
### Concerts: Rediscovering Traditions
The concerts will include performances by Napoleone, the Ebbanesis, I Virtuosi Italiani, and A Toys Orchestra. These artists will offer a combination of classical traditions and musical innovations, from dawn concerts to gospel and soul.
### Shows for Children
Even the little ones will find their space at the Cilentart Fest 2024, with shows ranging from the commedia dell'arte of the La Mansarda company to the circus spectacular of the Baracca dei Buffoni, and the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm with "Hamelin" by Tonio De Nitto.
