The call for submissions to the 21st edition of accordi @ DISACCORDI – International Short Film Festival is closed on September 20, 2024. The event will be held in Naples, at the Corte dell'Arte of FOQUS – Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli, from November 11 to 17. This festival is dedicated to short films—fiction, documentary, animated, experimental, and investigative—and focuses on the consonances and dissonances of our times.
Program of the Festival
The festival format includes a broad and diversified program. The screenings of the works will be accompanied by close meetings with the authors, producers and actors. These meetings will be held in an informal atmosphere, in the presence of lovers of the seventh art, professionals in the film sector, experts and cultural operators. Over the years, the festival has been enriched with a rich program of collateral cultural activities, including workshops and laboratories with universities and schools, masterclasses, special events and focus on recent film productions and current issues.
Environmental Section
Special attention is given to the competitive section dedicated to eco-sustainability. This section will highlight short films that discuss respect and defense of the environment, good ecological practices and climate change. An initiative that reflects the festival's commitment to issues of great contemporary relevance.
Participation Details
Participation in the competition is free and open to works with a maximum duration of 25 minutes, extended to 35 minutes for documentaries, completed after January 1, 2023. The event is directed by Pietro Pizzimento and Fabio Gargano, and organized by the Movies Event Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Naples and with the support of the regional fund for cinema and audiovisual of Campania.
Awards and Mentions
The jury, composed of professionals from the film industry, will award prizes and special mentions in the following categories: best international short film, best national short film, best short film produced or set in Campania, best animated short film, best documentary and best short film on environmental issues. The best director, best actor and best actress of the short films in competition will also be awarded. In addition, the festival audience will award a prize for the best short film.
