Naples. They were ready to go into action with a pump-action shotgun, latex gloves and a full-face helmet. But their criminal action was blocked by the agents of the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station.
It happened last night on via Galileo Ferraris in the direction of San Giovanni a Teduccio when the officers noticed two people riding a scooter. The driver, at the sight of the officers, accelerated to elude the control, ignoring the order to stop.
A chase ensued during which the driver performed maneuvers dangerous for road traffic. Having reached the height of the bridge on Via Ferrante Imparato, the two fugitives lost control of the vehicle, falling to the ground.
The officers promptly exited the patrol car and stopped them. They found them in possession of a stolen 12-gauge FABARM pump-action shotgun and two cartridges of the same caliber. They also found approximately 2 grams of cocaine and 2 grams of hashish on the passenger, two pairs of latex gloves, and €40 in banknotes of various denominations.
The arrested are 22 and 23 years old and have a criminal record
These are Salvatore Delle Rosse and Emanuele Caiazzo, 22 and 23 years old, with previous police records. They were arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and reported for receiving stolen goods. In addition, the 23-year-old was reported for illegal possession of narcotics and the motorcycle was seized.
Now the rifle has been sent to the ballistics section to verify whether it was used in recent criminal acts. But in the meantime the investigation continues to establish what type of crime the two were ready to commit: an ambush or a robbery?
