From Friday 12 July 2024, “Malakiia & The Days: VITA BOHÉMIEN” (LaPOP), the new EP by Malakiia, will be available on all digital streaming platforms.
The artistic evolution of Malakiia & The Days
The EP “Malakiia & The Days: VITA BOHÉMIEN” tells the story of the evolution of the artistic project of Malakiia & The Days, where two sounds meet: the R&B and Soul vibes of the singer-songwriter with the funky ones of THE DAYS embrace and give life to a band. It is a collection of songs, previously published by the artist, which now take on a new shape and a new light in a “reimagined” version.
Inspiration and themes of the EP
The title of the EP is inspired by a previously released song, which tells of the discovery of her complete sexuality. In VITA BOHÉMIEN, Malakiia expresses the search for a balance between art, music and emotions, central elements in her life. The creation of this new work has completely changed her, thanks also to the meeting with Riccardo Grieco, Daniele Alebbi and Lorenzo Checchinato, the musicians who later formed The Days: the name comes from the image projected towards the simple and common DAYS.

The artist explains about the EP: “I live every day as a surprise. I wanted to give this name to pay homage to all the days of our lives, they are priceless”.

Malakiia Biography
Francesca Fucci, stage name Malakiia, was born in a small town in the province of Avellino. Since she was a child she has had a passion for music, especially singing. As she grew up she got closer and closer to that world, something that would probably have changed her life. She started singing at 6 years old “and from then on I never stopped, in fact it was the reason to continue. One song in particular struck me, “Light my fire” by The Doors. From the moment I heard that melody I fell in love with it, I thought I owed my life to music.”
At the age of 12 she began singing in a church choir, to try to immerse herself in music, and later she took part in auditions for young singers at singing schools. Struck by blues and R&B music, these were the first genres she began to listen to and sing. Later she also became passionate about electronic music mixed with soul, and that's where "Malakiia" came to life.
Malakiia is a singer, producer, arranger, guitarist and trumpet player. Her genre is very wide, ranging from Indie to Contemporary R&B. She began performing live with her loopstation set and became a one woman band. She is currently supported by her band, with which she is forming a new project.
His latest work is “Komorebi”, a collection of 6 songs all in R&B style, released in January 2024 by LaPOP.
