Rail traffic on the Rome-Naples line via Cassino has returned to normal after the fire that broke out near the section that passes through the territory of Anagni. The accident forced the suspension of rail traffic between the stations of Colleferro and Morolo, causing inconvenience to travellers.
The flames broke out shortly after 14 pm, involving the area adjacent to the tracks. The immediate intervention of the Fire Brigade of Frosinone allowed the fire to be put out and the damage to be contained. Thanks to their prompt intervention, the situation was gradually able to return to normal shortly after 15:XNUMX p.m.
The disruptions mainly affected regional trains, which suffered average delays of about half an hour. Travelers had to deal with the interruption of service and the inevitable waits, but thanks to the rapid resolution of the emergency, rail traffic was soon restored.
The competent authorities are now investigating the causes of the fire, to understand whether it was an accidental event or if there are other responsibilities. In the meantime, the Rome-Naples line via Cassino is fully operational and train traffic has returned to normal, ensuring the regular running of connections between the two cities.
