The Naples Prosecutor's Office has decided to terminate its collaboration with Francesco Schiavone, also known by the nickname 'Sandokan'.
The former Casalesi clan leader, who had begun a collaboration process just a few months ago, now sees the protection program he was subjected to revoked and returns to harsh prison conditions.
Unhelpful statements
The decision of the DDA, the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples, came following the evaluation of the statements released by Schiavone during his collaboration.

The statements were deemed irrelevant to the ongoing investigation, thus leading to the termination of the protection program for the former mafia boss.
Schiavone returns to 41 bis
With the revocation of the protection program, Schiavone he was again subjected to the harsh prison regime.
This type of detention is reserved for prisoners considered particularly dangerous and involves severe restrictions on contact with the outside world and with other prisoners.
