A tragic event struck a stretch of the A16 Napoli-Canosa motorway, in the direction of Bari, at the height of the Irpinia toll booth of Grottaminarda. A 61-year-old man, resident in Apice in the province of Benevento, was struck down by a sudden illness while he was driving his car.
It was just after seven in the morning when the 61-year-old, struck by a sudden illness, had just enough time to pull his car over to the emergency lane.
