Naples. The “high impact” services of the Guardia di Finanza, the State Police and the Carabinieri continue.
This morning, approximately 200 officers from various law enforcement agencies carried out numerous searches in Piazza Garibaldi and surrounding areas. The activity allowed us to identify several individuals, some of whom were reported for various reasons.
During the operation, the operators seized various quantities of foreign manufactured tobacco without the State Monopoly brand and various quantities of narcotic substances such as hashish and marijuana,
Some people were also fined for possession of narcotic substances for personal use and others for violating the rules of the
Highway Code, imposing overall fines of over 30 thousand euros.
Furthermore, several commercial establishments in the area were checked and, for one of these, the immediate suspension of the activity was ordered due to hygiene irregularities in the laboratory and the absence of self-control documentation with administrative seizure of 20kg of bread without a traceability label.
The joint activity saw the participation of personnel from the Naples Flying Squad, the Immigration Office of the Naples Police Headquarters, the Administrative and Social Police Division, the Vicaria and Vasto-Arenaccia Police Stations, the dog handlers of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, the Mobile Unit, the UOPI and the Scientific Police.
And also the Carabinieri Investigative Nucleus of Naples, the Naples Stella Company, the NAS, the Campania Regiment and the Radiomobile Nucleus of Naples, as well as the operators of the Guardia di Finanza with the Emergency Group of Naples, the Pef Nucleus of Naples, personnel of the 2nd NOM Naples, of the Torre Annunziata Group and Giugliano in Campania.
The activity in question saw the participation of Local Police personnel and was monitored from above by a helicopter from the VI Flight Department of the State Police.
