A Fun and Educational Environment

According to Professor Mena Santacroce, director of the Yamaha Academy with offices in Caserta and San Nicola la Strada, the main goal of the laboratory is to make children love music and develop their musical ear, a skill that will accompany them throughout their lives. In a playful and stimulating environment, the young students learn to coordinate rhythm exercises, sing and play melodies together with their classmates. Thanks to an agreement between the De Mare Comprehensive Institute, the Accademia Musicale Città di Caserta and the Yamaha Music Branch Italia, the laboratory is equipped with 25 keyboards and is permanent.

Success and Participation

For the third consecutive year, more than one hundred children from the nursery and primary schools participated in the workshop. The lessons, conducted by the teacher Carmine Dente, qualified in the Yamaha methodology, were appreciated for their professionalism and for the ability to involve the children in fun activities. At the end of the lessons, a test in the presence of the parents allowed to verify the validity of the method and the positive educational value of the project.

Words from Director Cerrito

The director of the De Mare Institute, Antonella Cerrito, expressed great satisfaction for the project: “Music for All, in collaboration with the Yamaha Music Academy of Caserta, expertly directed by Professor Mena Santacroce, is an ambitious initiative that brings students closer to the universal language of music. This year we also saw the participation of kindergarten students“. Cerrito emphasized how the project fits into the broad and varied educational offering of the institute, contributing significantly to the educational paths of the students and receiving the full support of the families.

A Fruitful Collaboration

The collaboration with the Yamaha Academy was described by the director Cerrito as a positive experience that led to a calm and stimulating learning environment. "For us it is a real feather in our cap and is an absolute novelty in the area. I hope that this experience can continue and grow over time", concluded Cerrito.
