Naples, local police fine 25 shopkeepers and citizens in the historic center and Spanish Quarters

Naples. The Naples Local Police have intensified controls in the city's nightlife areas.

The Territorial Operational Units carried out a prevention and control operation in the areas most frequented by young people during nightlife.

In the Avvocata neighborhood, specifically along Lungo Gelso, Speranzella, and San Sepolcro streets, 15 violations were detected. The violations primarily involved illegal occupation of public land and failure to properly separate waste collection.

One of the fined businesses was served with a three-day suspension order.

In the Spanish quarters, with the collaboration of the ASIA inspectors, fined 10 people including citizens and traders for failure to respect recycling.

The Motorcycle Department intervened in the Chiaia neighborhood to verify compliance with the highway code. 68 reports were issued for various violations, including:

  • Driving with an uninsured vehicle
    Driving without a license
    Driving with a seized vehicle
    Driving with a license of a category other than the one required
    Careless entrustment of the vehicle
    Seven vehicles parked in illegal areas were also towed away.

The Local Police operation aims to ensure safety and urban decorum in nightlife areas, combating illegal activities and protecting the well-being of residents. Enforcement activities will continue in the coming weeks.
