During the morning yesterday, officers from the San Giovanni Police Station Barra State Police arrested a 49-year-old man in the Pazzigno district, caught with narcotic substances.
During a planned surveillance operation, the officers noticed the man standing on a gated balcony, where he exchanged drugs with another person for money.
Taking advantage of the open gate, the police intervened promptly, arresting the suspect.
Subsequently, during a search of the man's apartment, a pack of cigarettes containing eight wraps of cocaine weighing approximately 8 gram in total was found, as well as precision scales and drug packaging materials.
Following these discoveries, the 49-year-old Neapolitan, already known to law enforcement for specific criminal convictions, was arrested on charges of possession and distribution of narcotics.
