Another bloody night on the streets of Naples. A 34-year-old convicted felon was stabbed near Piazza Nazionale. The Carabinieri are verifying his version of events, while investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the incident. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m.
Carabinieri from the Central Company responded to Pellegrini Hospital, alerted by emergency room doctors to the presence of an injured man. The victim, already known to law enforcement, suffered multiple stab wounds to the legs, presumably from a knife.
According to an initial reconstruction, still to be verified, the attack took place in Via Ippolito Nievo, perhaps during an attempted rapinaHowever, the exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear. The 34-year-old, currently hospitalized, is not in life-threatening condition.
