The functional centre of the Civil Protection of the Campania region, in light of the current weather situation, has extended the current warning of criticality for “heat waves” until 12 noon next Saturday, July 20.
Maximum temperatures are expected to be 4-6 degrees above the seasonal average (tomorrow they will be between 3 and 5 degrees higher.
(These will then rise further in the following days) and will be associated with a humidity level that, especially in the evening and night hours on the coastal sector, could even exceed 70-80% in conditions of poor ventilation.
“It is recommended not to go out during the hottest hours of the day, not to expose yourself to the sun or do outdoor activities and to limit travel by car. Particular attention must be paid by heart patients, the elderly, children and subjects at risk.
Always keep the rooms properly ventilated. Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking water. Also pay attention to pets”, reiterates the Civil Protection.
