In the early afternoon yesterday, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during the territorial control service, while passing through the square Capuana, they noticed a person who, in exchange for money, gave something to some people.
The latter then hastily moved away.
Therefore, the police promptly intervened to interrupt the criminal process but the aforementioned, seeing himself discovered, tried in vain to escape until, not without difficulty and after a struggle, he was stopped and found in possession of 5 packages of cocaine and 110 euros, divided into banknotes of different denominations and clear proceeds of the criminal activity perpetrated.
For these reasons, the suspect, identified as a 34-year-old Moroccan with a criminal record, including specific ones, was arrested for assault, resisting a public official and illegal possession of narcotics.
