The final evening of the 15th edition of the Anacapri Bruno Lauzi Award – Songwriter's Song 2024, held in Piazza S. Nicola, saw the triumph of Ashai Lombardo Arop, aka "Altrove," with the unreleased song "Sasha." The jury, chaired by Andrea Vianello and composed of Giordano Sangiorgi, Alberto Zeppieri, Franco Fasano, Rosita Marchese, Peppe Iannicelli, and Carlo Marrale, also awarded "Altrove" the prize for "Best Interpretation" for his highly personal performance of Bruno Lauzi's song "O'frigideiro."

Protagonists and Awards of the Evening

Ashai Lombardo Arop, aka “Altrove,” not only won the main title but will also participate in the Mei – Meeting of Independent Labels in Faenza on October 5, competing for the “Prize of Prizes” at the Teatro Masini in Faenza. Another important recognition of the evening went to Marta La Noce, winner of the “Cora Prize” dedicated to Alessandra Cora, a young singer-songwriter from Anacapri who was a victim of the 2009 earthquake in L’Aquila.

Other Awards

The evening, masterfully hosted by Marino Bartoletti and Francesca Ceci, also saw other awards assigned: Martino Chieffo won the award for best lyrics with his unreleased song “Delle volte”, the trio “Emsaisi” won the award for best music with “Mille volte”, while Martina Lupi obtained recognition for best arrangement with “La distanza”.

Interludes and Special Guests

Paola Saluzzi offered an engaging speech, interviewed by Marino Bartoletti and Francesca Ceci, having recently won the author's pen award for the "writers and journalists" section. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional performance by Maurizio Vandelli, awarded the author's pen award in the "music" section. Vandelli fascinated and enraptured the audience with his interpretation of historical pieces such as "Io ho in mente te" and "Un'avventura".
