The charming town of Visciano is preparing to host the 13th edition of the Carpine Prize, a major film festival inspired by the themes of integration and inclusion. This year's distinguished guests include actor Artem Tkachuk, known for his role as Pino Pagano in the TV series "Mare Fuori," and actress Miriam Candurro. The event will be held from July 4th to 7th at the Monumental Complex of Santa Maria Consolatrice del Carpinello.
Over 500 Submitted Works and Prestigious Guests
This year, the event received 530 works, beating all previous records for both the quantity and quality of the works in the competition. Among the famous names that will participate are those of Nicola Piovani, Massimiliano Caiazzo, Alessandro Haber, Mariagrazia Cucinotta, Gabriel Garko and Francesco Di Leva. The event, promoted by the municipality of Visciano and the local Pro Loco, confirms itself as an event with an international scope.
Opening with Show-Concerts and Screening of Short Films
The four-day event will be opened by singer-songwriter Antonio Scafuri with the show “Fuoco 'e lava”, an event that blends music, theater and storytelling, directed in collaboration with director Antonio Lippiello. Friday, July 5, will be the turn of the show “Charlie Chaplin” by the company “Il Demiurgo”, while on Saturday, July 6, the finalist short films will be screened, with the public acting as a popular jury.
Grand Gala of Awards and Future Projects
The grand gala of the awards will be held on Sunday, July 7, hosted by journalist Autilia Napolitano. Mayor Sabatino Trinchese praised the importance of the event, underlining how the significant increase in film proposals is a clear sign of the growing interest in this kermesse. The municipality of Visciano will continue to invest in the territory, solidarity, the environmental crisis, conflicts and new generations, through cultural events of this caliber.
Collaborations and TV Broadcasts
Among the partners of the XIII edition of the Carpine Award is also the magazine Avvenire, directed by Marco Iasevoli. In addition, the evenings of the festival will be broadcast on the Videonola television channel, making the event accessible to an even wider audience.
