“R…estate con noi” is the slogan of the summer program of the Arena Charlot in Capezzano, presented this morning at Palazzo Sant'Agostino, seat of the Province of Salerno, by the artistic director Gianluca Tortora and the organizational director Piermarco Raniero Fiore.
A Preview of the Charlot Award
This year, for the first time, the Arena Charlot will host the preview of the Charlot Award, the famous event dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, now in its 36th edition. Claudio Tortora, creator and director of the award, stressed the importance of maintaining the continuity of the event, despite the difficulties caused by the blocking of development and cohesion funds. Tortora expressed his disappointment for the lack of attention received by the event and announced the possibility of further evenings at the Teatro Delle Arti, if the situation is not resolved.
Seven Evenings of Entertainment
The Arena Charlot program includes seven events that will range from comedy to music. The summer structure, set up outside the Cinema Teatro Charlot in Capezzano, will see some of the most beloved faces of the artistic scene perform. Among the events, it begins on July 13 with the comic trio “I ditelo voi” and continues on July 18 with the theatrical show “Una comica tragedia”.
Evenings Dedicated to Disco Music
On July 28th it will be the turn of “Dance Revolution”, a live show that celebrates the golden years of Disco Music, with a cast of 7 female voices and 4 musicians. Classics by artists such as Abba, Bee Gees, Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor will be performed.
Waiting for the Charlot Award
“Waiting for the Charlot Award” begins on July 21 with a cabaret evening featuring Vincenzo Comunale, Alessandro Bolide and Pasquale Palma. During this evening, the Charlot Fiction Award will also be presented to Simone Montedoro and the Great Protagonists of the Show Award to Red Canzian. The evenings will continue with a family show on July 23, a show dedicated to the '60s and '70s on July 25, and will end on July 26 with further cabaret performances and the awarding of prizes to Manlio Castagna and Alessio Boni.
Support from Local Authorities
Francesco Morra, mayor of Pellezzano and delegate for culture for the Province of Salerno, expressed his support for the initiative, while underlining the economic difficulties related to the blocking of cohesion funds. Morra praised the organizers for their commitment and dedication to the territory.

Tickets for individual evenings and season tickets for the four evenings of “Aspettando il Premio Charlot” are available online on the Go2 and TicketOne circuits. Ticket prices range from 10 to 25 euros, offering a variety of options for all interested spectators.
