The State Police carried out searches on 24 people, fans of the Real Casalnuovo and Siracusa Calcio teams, following the clashes that occurred on May 5 in Casalnuovo before the match between the two Serie D teams.
The operation was conducted by the DIGOS of the Naples Police Headquarters and the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police, with the collaboration of the DIGOS of Syracuse, Cosenza, Salerno and Latina.
The recipients of the personal, local and computer search warrant issued by the Nola Prosecutor's Office are 20 Neapolitan ultras and 4 from Syracuse.
According to the reconstruction, on the afternoon of May 5, a large group of Neapolitan ultras affiliated with the groups Nuova Guardia, Masseria, Mastiffs, Barone, Spirito Libero, Rione Sanità, Nuova Stirpe and Sbandati, all belonging to the Curva A of the Maradona stadium, gathered in Casalnuovo dressed in dark clothes and with their faces covered.

Subsequently, the group would have headed towards the municipal stadium and, near Piazza Mandela, would have participated in a brawl with the Syracuse fans, using baseball bats, poles and sticks. During the clash, two Syracuse fans suffered personal injuries.
The clashes were apparently caused by the twinning between the fans ultras Neapolitan football club and Catania, a historic rival of Siracusa fans. The DIGOS investigation, coordinated by the Nola Prosecutor's Office, reconstructed the events and identified the suspects through analysis of video surveillance cameras.
The Naples police commissioner has also started the procedure for the Daspo against the suspects.
